Initially its agent actions even if insignificant to quickly lvl them up, then they are embedded with armies. I try to make good use of all the agents I get. After few hundred turns (having just starting position and Estalia) you will find out how to play. He has possibly the strongest positon and is pretty strong and rich + under empire can give you immense wealth that will outmatch even Dwarfs or Vampire Coast. Before conquering a territory try to get some pact with neighbouring faction to that territory and if they refuse make sure you match their army or use strategy to defeat them easily either by ambush or good battle map. If you expand too fast you will be a treat to others. One very simple rule - conquer only what you can defend + build garrisons. What are some good resources to get better? Namely get better at the battles themselves because that's my weakest point. I'm having fun playing IE in this game, but I am real bad at it. ![]() Throughout my attempts to get into the franchise I have somehow collected all 3 entries. Wait until most/all of the ai is engaged before you do rear flanks, unless you can be sure of getting your flankers out safely. You can also keep 1-2 fast moving units on hand to chase units that are fleeing but not yet routed otherwise they might come back to fight. The more enemy units that are routing, the more chance of causing other enemy units to also flee, like a cascade. The ai will tend to group up, so as long as you have some units that can hold them (high armour and not weak to most of the enemies?), you send other units (high damagers) into their rear, and try to focus on taking out the enemy units that are near to breaking. ![]() ![]() Shooting an enemy from the sides/rear is very effective, but don't risk your ranged to enemy charges. While paused, pay attention to which units are weak/strong against what (click your units and move the mouse over the enemy to see) You can take as much time as you like to assess what's going on and what to do.
